HPCZ license renewal

To obtain or renew your practicing license with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ), follow these steps:

  1. Access the HPCZ Online Services Portal:

    • Visit the HPCZ Online Services Portal: https://portal.hpcz.org.zm/
  2. Register or Log In:

    • New Users:
      • Click on "Not registered for online services?"
      • Select your account type (e.g., practitioner, student).
      • Enter your National Registration Card (NRC) number or passport number (for non-Zambians) and a valid email address.
      • Click "Register for Online Services."
      • Check your email for a confirmation link to complete the registration process.
    • Returning Users:
      • Log in with your username and password.
      • If you've forgotten your password, use the "Forgot your password?" option to reset it.
  3. Complete or Update Your Profile:

    • After logging in, navigate to the "Profile" section.
    • Ensure all personal and professional details are accurate.
    • Upload a recent passport-size photograph, if required.
  4. Apply for License Renewal:

    • Click on the "Renewals" tab.
    • Select "New Renewal Application."
    • Fill in the required details, including your employment status and program details.
    • Submit the application.
  5. Payment of Renewal Fees:

    • After submission, an invoice will be generated detailing the amount due.
    • Payment can be made through various methods, including:
      • VISA: Follow the on-screen instructions to pay using VISA.
      • Mobile Money: Use the provided mobile money platforms as detailed on the HPCZ portal.
      • Government Payroll: If applicable, select this option and provide necessary details for verification.
  6. Download Your Practicing Certificate:

    • Once payment is confirmed, return to the portal.
    • Navigate to the "Licenses" section.
    • Download and print your renewed practicing certificate.
  7. Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Requirements:

    • Ensure you've met the required CPD points for your profession.
    • Details on CPD requirements can be found on the HPCZ website or by contacting the council directly.

Steps:


1. Download HPCZ Android App (ZamChat)

      After downloading, open the  ZamChat app and  go  to bottom menu  and choose the symbol below

GNC license renewal 

 To renew your nursing or midwifery practicing license in Zambia, follow these steps outlined by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ):

  1. Online Renewal via NMCZ Portal:

    • Visit the NMCZ Online Services Portal:
    • Log in with your registered email and password. If you're new to the portal, click on "Sign Up for Online Services" and provide the necessary details to create an account.
    • Once logged in, navigate to the license renewal section and follow the on-screen instructions to complete your renewal application.
  2. Payment of Renewal Fees:

    • Ensure you pay the applicable annual practicing certificate fee based on your qualification:
      • Certificate in Nursing or Midwifery: K250.00
      • Diploma in Nursing or Midwifery: K300.00
      • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Midwifery: K350.00
    • Payments can be made through the following platforms:

  3. Submission of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Logbook:

    • Along with your renewal application, submit a duly completed CPD logbook indicating any CPD training undertaken during the year. This is a mandatory requirement for the renewal process.
  4. Renewal Deadline:

    • Practitioners are required to renew their practicing certificates no later than 31st December of each year. Applications received after this deadline will attract a penalty fee of K500.00 in addition to the subscription fee due.
  5. Avoiding Congestion:
